This weekend only Zebuxoruk will be upping the experience gain on all custom zones built for players 20 and lower. (Field of Bones (Sythax), Crushbone, Runnyeye, and Tacvi) If you haven’t checked out Zebuxoruk yet now is a great time. Or if you wanted to start a new alt of check out a different class this weekend is for you.

Big updates to Kael today. Level requirements for the class specific armor sets have been dropped from 65 to 55. The sets have also been updated to reflect the zone. NPCs in the arena are more likely to drop the armor molds now, and less likely to drop the single rare custom pieces. In other Kael news, breastplate and leggings molds will now drop off all of the kings in Kael as well as the Chancellors. The chance of the drop is related to the difficulty and rareness of a given boss so don’t be too surprised if you don’t get on off an entry boss. You can view all the latest patch notes here.
I also put together a new Zone/Level spreadsheet. This shows each custom zone and the levels appropriate for that zone. This should help players locate the next zone to go to or another zone for their level range. Remember that in most cases there are at least 3 zones for a level range so check them all out! No need to grind away at content you have already done on Zebuxoruk. The sheet also outlines the end-game content in a clearer way and shows players where they should go for that next equipment boost. Kael reopened today and is fully customized and ready for your to tear it down. The lore goes a little something like this. A mad gnome tinkerer was fed up with him and his fellow short raced friend being looked down upon by all the taller people. With a little gnome tinkering magic he created a growth machine and transformed himself and his followers into giant Dwarfs, Gnomes, and Halflings and took the city of Kael. The zone is geared for those 50-65 but has a few bosses that shouldn’t be overlooked for the newer 70 crowd. So when you hit 50 be sure to swing over to Kael. Battle your way through Gigagnomes and Wholelings and let me know what you think!

This is just the latest of the custom content. If you aren’t familiar with Zebuxoruk or are new around here, there is always something custom being put into the server. The other newest zone, Tower of Frozen Shadows, was put in on launch day just over a week ago but I never posted about it because it was out at launch. Anyways hopefully that gives you some idea how things go around here. A whole bunch of custom content all the time!
Well the server made it over the weekend surge of new and returning Zebuxoruk players. There were a few bumps along the way but that is to be expected on a new machine, a new build, and a whole bunch of excited EQEmu players. Keep on reporting any sort of strange things going on in the forum and I’ll keep ironing them out as we find them.
Thanks for the help the community has given the server over the first weekend and I hope that the Zebuxoruk will keep the interest of those who discovered it this weekend and many more to come. Also now that most of you are getting enough hp to take an ice comet without a death you can be sure you will see a lot more of those.
Launch!
The Zebuxoruk server will launch between 9-10AM EST today (friday) morning. Everyone enjoy the weekend of fresh Zebuxoruk goodness but expect a few bumps as the population increases and further development continues.
